Reaching the goal together through sustainability

In July 2024, we were awarded the Austrian Ecolabel by the Ministry for the Environment – a moment we are truly proud of.

Untouched nature, green meadows, and majestic mountains – that’s what defines our holiday region. This natural beauty is a gift that must be preserved. That’s why, here at Tirolerherz, we strive to run our business as sustainably as possible, with many small and large steps that truly matter to us.

Since the start of the project in May 2023, we haven’t just improved internal processes, we’ve also sharpened our own awareness: What can we do better? What are we already doing right – perhaps even without realizing it? And what do we want to pass on to our guests?

Some of our efforts are very hands-on and tangible:

We tend to a small herb garden right by the house – fresh mint, chives & more go straight to the kitchen or breakfast table.
In summer, we grow seasonal vegetables in our little garden – naturally untreated.
We get our organic eggs from a local farmer in the neighboring village.
Our meat comes from regional farmers, including the Weißbachhof, Manfred’s family farm, now lovingly run by his nephew.

To us, these things aren’t trends – they’re part of our everyday values.
What has always been true – and always will be – is our joy in protecting this unique natural environment. It's worth standing up for, every single day.

What we do
in our company

We already source many of our products regionally and are continuing to expand our sourcing.
We have already implemented a number of renovation measures to improve the insulation of our old building. Our heating system is state-of-the-art and therefore very efficient. A PV system is already being planned to reduce our CO2 emissions as much as possible.
Waste is avoided as far as possible in our company.
Waste is properly separated and disposed of accordingly.
Our employees receive regular training from us.
We support regional businesses as much as possible.
Culture is very important to us. That is why we are always happy to support clubs and cultural events.

Mobility and leisure

Take advantage of the opportunity to travel by bus and train for FREE with the PillerseeTal Card guest card.
Please return information material to our information point in our entrance area after use or hand it in at reception. The printed materials have already been reduced by the tourism association.
You can also find all the perfectly prepared information about our region on our Guestfriend app or at www.pillerseetal.at
Take any garbage you produce back with you during your leisure activities and do not dump it in our unique landscape. You are welcome to dispose it at our hotel - because our nature is not a garbage dump.
After smoking, dispose of cigarettes in the ashtrays provided on the balconies and on the terrace.

Rooms and suites

Our rooms are temperature-controlled. If it is too warm in your room, please let us know and we will adjust the heating for you. Please do not keep windows and doors open unnecessarily long.
Do not leave water running unnecessarily - whether you are showering, brushing your teeth or using the toilet.
We have a waste separation station in front of our house. Please use it to separate your garbage carefully.
Towels are only changed if they are on the floor.
No cleaning needed today? Then please attach the door sign accordingly.
When leaving the room, make sure to switch off all lights and appliances.
Use your own bathing slippers. We do not provide bathing slippers included.

Culinary

You are welcome to help yourself to the buffet more often. Please make sure you don't take more than you can manage - that way we don't have to dispose too much leftover food.
You are also welcome to order small courses as part of your dinner. Reorders are possible at any time.
Information on the origin of our food can be found at the buffet, on the menu card or on request from our staff.
